摘要:In this talk we consider a nonlocal dispersal SIS epidemic model, where the spatial movement of individuals is described by a nonlocal diffusion operator, the transmission rate and recovery rate are spatially heterogeneous. We first define the basic reproduction number R_0 and discuss the existence, uniqueness and stability of steady states of the nonlocal dispersal SIS epidemic model in terms of R_0. Then we study the asymptotic profiles of the endemic steady states for large and small diffusion rates to illustrate the persistence or extinction of the infectious disease. We also observe the concentration phenomenon which occurs when the diffusion rate of the infected individuals tends to zero. The obtained results indicate that the nonlocal movement of the susceptible or infectious individuals will enhance the persistence of the infectious disease. In particular, our analytical results suggest that the spatial heterogeneity tends to boost the spread of the infectious disease.

报告人简介:李万同,二级教授,博导,兰州大学“萃英学者”二级岗位教授,曾任中国数学会副理事长、兰州大学数学与统计学院院长,担任甘肃省数学会理事长。主要从事偏微分方程与动力系统领域的相关研究,在ARMA、Trans. AMS、JMPA、SIMA、JFA、CVPDE、JNS、JDE等杂志发表系列论文,合作出版著作和教材各一部。主持国家自然科学基金重点项目1项,面上及国际合作项目7项,参加重点项目1项。2010年获得第五届全国“秦元勋微分方程奖”,2004年享受国务院政府特殊津贴并获教育部宝钢教育基金会优秀教师奖,2001年获教育部高等学校青年教师奖。主持完成的项目获甘肃省自然科学一等奖2次和二等奖1次。
